THE WINE

Sauvignon Blanc is one of Chile’s star whites – and it’s a real specialty at Luis Felipe Edwards. They win major acclaim for their Reserve-level Sauvignon, which means you’re in for a real treat here: this crisp white is an exciting exclusive they make just for us. Head winemaker, Nicolas Bizzarri, sourced the grapes from topnotch sites across the cool (and gorgeous) Maule Valley. Inspired by the calming sound of the nearby river during harvest, (a sound the Mapuche tribe likened to the indigenous Fio-Fio bird), Nicolas named the wine “Riversong.” With its ripe, tropical-fruit flavors, Riversong makes a lip-smacking aperitif or an ideal match for seafood.

THE WINEMAKER

Luis Felipe Edwards is taking Chilean wine to new heights – literally. Every year, he plants on ever steeper, higher ground – seeking out the purest fruit from which to craft his world-class wines. The estate’s head winemaker, Nicolas Bizzarri, is an up-and-coming talent (and former star at Napa’s renowned Mondavi winery) to definitely keep on your radar.
