There’s nothing not to love about this Chardonnay. It’s from the small estate of Dawn and Toby Forman, below,
who both come from winemaking families (Toby’s dad is Napa legend Ric Forman). In the glass, it’s a dead ringer for one of their previous vintages, which received 92-Point, ‘Best Buy’ and gold-medal honors from The Beverage Tasting Institute. With 2014 being California’s third blockbuster vintage in a row, quality’s at an all-time high – you’ll taste it in the rich orchard fruit flavors and creamy, nutty finish.
“Embrace the spiral. Your taste buds will thank you” (Wine Spectator). We’re big fans of screwcaps, too. More and more, this convenient closure is a staple for white and red wine made at top estates around the world. Although it may lack some of the romance of traditional cork, a screwcap does a far better job of preserving the pure fruit aromas and flavors that make each wine style so special.
