A classic South African combination of crisp Colombard and citrus-filled Sauvignon Blanc, it offers enticing aromas of fresh-picked gooseberry and grapefruit, which introduce a burst of pineapple and lime on the palate.


Bon Courage is a leading estate in the worldclass Robertson district. The vineyards are nestled between the majestic Langeberg and Riviersonderend mountain ranges in the heart of the Western Cape. Long, sunny days ensure that grapes ripen fully, while cool, southeasterly breezes from the Indian Ocean and chilly, misty nights encourage the development (and preservation) of the zingy aromatic character that marks both Sauvignon Blanc and Colombard.


VY_SouthAfrica_Robertson_The original homestead was built in 1818. In 1927, it was auctioned by the Dutch Reformed Church and bought by Willie Bruwer, who planted the first vineyards. Willie’s youngest son André took over in 1965. In 1990, André was joined by his talented son, Jacques, who has gone on to win international medals (like a coveted silver at Mundus Vini for a previous vintage of Gooseberry Bush).
