Opi Sadler is the mega-talented winemaker behind many of our best-selling reds…but did you know that he also crafts seriously lovely white wines? Well, here’s the delicious proof. His new ‘Blanc de Blancs’ cuvée (meaning a white wine made from white grapes) is a unique blend of hand-harvested Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Gilbert & Gaillard judges gave the previous release 91 points and a gold medal, and the new 2022 is just as lovely. Look forward to vibrant peach and honeysuckle flavors, with an elegant, rounded palate. Bring out your bottle when you have white wine fans over and see if they can guess the grapes!

THE REGION
Mendoza is Argentina’s capital of fine wine and home to great reds and whites. Vineyards here were established in the mid-1500s. Perched at 2,500 feet above sea level, it’s blessed with near-perfect growing conditions, including a wide diurnal (day-to-night) temperature range. Warm, sunny days ripen the grapes to their flavor-packed peak, while chilly nights lock in intense aromas.

Fun fact: Opi is actually an aspiring chef, and he loves to serve this versatile white wine at dinners with friends. Enjoy a chilled glass to start the evening (perhaps alongside soft cheeses or cut veggies), then move into the salad course. For the main dish, Opi suggests fresh seafood or roasted chicken. Turkey, pork or creamy vegetarian dishes will be tasty, too.
